I have paid for my lunch from a UK bank account (Santander) using just the IBAN.

Accommodation: The Tower Hotel offers a preferential room rate from Thursday 19th to Monday 23rd inclusive (checking out Tuesday morning - 5 nights in total).  This year a mix of double and twin rooms has been reserved.  The cost is £225 for a double/twin room per night and £210 per night for single occupancy.  This price includes a full English breakfast and VAT.  To book your room, ring (+44) (0) 20 7523 5063 during weekday work hours, select option 1 and option 1 again.  You need to quote WCOL210326 (block code) for the discounted rate.  You will then receive two e-mails from the hotel.  One will have your booking confirmation letter attached and the other will include a payment link.  You will be not be charged anything for this initial transaction.  You will then receive a third e-mail confirming your payment of £0.00 against your booking reference.  Your will be charged for your room(s) when you check in.  The quoted prices are available until mid-February.  Other hotels are, of course, available.
