The Wesley community are really sad to hear of the passing of our former Head of PE and Athletics coach Dan Kennedy or as we all knew him DK.

In the year book on his retirement in 2007 Keith Lemon wrote the following:

"DK's ability to observe a student and decide if they needed encouragement to get through the day or encouragement to get to an Olympic final outlined his range of ability in coaching and an incredible human touch to reach the real person and their talents. From telling you that you were a "great guy" as a pick up on your way past the PE office to coaching athletes such as Nick Sweeney, a former pupil, to three Olympic Games, DK worked to unlock the talent and the postive that remains inside each one of us."
